This is another small “picnic painting” of the Dorset countryside, probably painted in the late summer as the crops in the fields have matured.

The small painting is accentuated by a large frame. It is painted from the top of a hill with the classic country road leading you into the view of the valley below, all backed by the characteristically divided fields rising up on the hills behind.
