The Rue des Écoles – Fayence card shows one of the more picturesque streets in Fayence. It translates as the ‘Street of Schools’, although I don’t recall there being any schools on it at that time. When Christine first moved to Fayence, she was very taken with the narrow streets and soon realized they were best rendered as tall thin panels. Two versions of the hand-painted card have survived so one can get an idea of the variation, along with the less expensive plain and sepia versions.
