Labeled Rue du Chateau, Fayence this card depicts the upper reaches of the Rue du Chateau depicted in another card, as it leads off the Grande Rue du Chateaux where my mother’s little flat/apartment was located. Interestingly only the Grande Rue du Chateaux could be traversed by suitably narrow vehicles and then in only one direction at a time whereas the other road consists mainly of very wide large steps suitable for pedestrians willing to climb it’s steep grade. The hand painted card that has survived appears to be a slightly narrower as it has been cropped on one side compared to the plain and sepia versions.

Below are three other variations of the same rendition.
