View of the Grande Rue du Chateau – Fayence from my mother’s living room window. It was also one of the images my mother send off to be printed by a company in England. For the cards shown below she worked from the original line drawing to have cards produced by some local printers in Grasse, Before the commercial card was printed she would painstakingly paint in the color by hand. For a less expensive card, she also sold them as simple line drawings on different colored card stock. I have included with this collection an earlier card she made when she first moved into the flat/apartment which I think she sent to friends to distribute her new address.
