Labeled Fayence on the front and Rue du Chateau, Fayence on the back, this started as a popular watercolour painting of the other end of the street that my mother lived on. This was a folding card she had made while getting some postcards printed by a company in England. While looking through the card collection, I found one that appears to be a reworking of an earler version of this street view where she was planning the placement of the ubiquitous cat and a dog, plus the addition of a new sign. The final result shows the cat and the sign as well as a young couple but did not include the neighbor’s three legged black Labrador.
The card is also labled No. 4 to help keep track of the planned collection.
