This is a sketch of Lord Reith, later to become the 1st Baron Reith. He was the first Director General of the BBC and ran the organization from 1927-1938. During World War II he was Minister of Information and then played other critical roles.
This is another practice sketching session done from the television probably, from Face to Face with John Freeman when he interviews Lord Reith in 1960.
