A very early work, drawn of fellow student Katie White while they were both students were at Southern College of Art, Bournemouth in 1945. It’s interesting to compare this to the two later portraits she did in the 60’s.

The original was a rectangular page and when the picture was framed, the signature was cut out and stuck to the back of the frame.
