A very traditional subject for sumi painting, the Holy Peak, Mount Fuji.

I send a picture of this to some Japanese speakers to get a translation, this was their response.
“Right side text: Holy Peak, Mt Fuji
Left side text: 1955 and the name of the painter. The kanji used here is not a common Japanese name and we believe that they are kanji selected to suit an English name. One kanji for Ben and another for Son and the character ’me’ to demonstrate that it is a lady (so a literal translation would be Mrs Benson)”
I’m sure this was written by her instructor.
