This is a small “picnic painting” done of Brownsea Island which lies in the middle of Poole habour. Evidently a very windy day with photogenic clouds blowing through. This sort of picnic painting would be done in a very short time, an hour or so, on location while my brother and I amused ourselves after we all had eaten.
